Light Paintings

After years of experimentation, based on the intuitive live-drawing of dance and expressive movement determined by the pure line, the artist starts a new creative phase which is dedicated to photography, or more correct to photo-painting.
This new direction within the research of esthetics is articulated in a dynamic dialog between the subject – the performer and the visual artist.

In a black, sparsely illuminated space, the model – the dancer improvises in front of the artist, who catches the essence of her physical presence using long exposure times. Unpredictable and extraordinary pictures emerge, the essence of the physical presence of the subject, combined with its dynamic that extends in space and time.
The essence of the actions, synthesized in the drawings with a pure line, is expressed in the chromatic fullness of the photograph, maintaining the mode of expression.

All pictures have make using exclusively long exposure time, light and movement. They have, same as the drawings, not been re-treated for example by using photoshop.
Even if the photo prints and live-drawings have not originated at the same time, being exposed together in an exhibition, they form one unit.
